Match report Losing another game with such a good wicket to bowl on leaves Park in desperate need of a morale boosting victory. Winning the toss on a very bowler friendly wicket Park looked in great control again reducing the hosts to 40-4 for the 3rd game in a row. But lack of concentration and understanding saw some poor bowling allowing the hosts to stagger to 182. Richard Wall eventually removing Kevin Sargent for 52 who survived a very very very very very confident caught behind appeal on 30. Rob Turner pushed on to 38 before Russ Collard claimed him as one of 3 victims. Ejaz Khan as reliable and consistent as ever also finished with 3 wickets.
The chase started in the worst possible way. Orsett bowlers reduced the openers to being shotless with fine accurate bowling and a tight field Park were 2 down for 6 in the 11th over. Tarr and Collard put on 67 before Collard fell for 21 caught off Polyblank. Park were always in the game but the decisive wicket of Jamal Francis again seemed a disappointing one caught on the line from what appeared to be a very high full toss / beamer and at a very crucial moment. John Jones showed the required urgency along with Guglani pushed park towards a victory but Guglani was stumped off a wide. Richard Wall continued the chase with intelligent batting but was judged LBW to Aktar when victory line was in sight, Jones went for 24 and things then looked different. With Khan and Carver still needing 25 to win from 3 overs Carver was judged caught behind to end a victory as defeat and leave Park still without a win.
