Match report Gidea Park U16's put in an improved performance against a fairly strong Harlow team that onsisted of mostly U16's whilst Park are all but two U15's.

Park got off to a decent start with Shafi Ekhlas bowling Harlow opener Monger for 10. Turner coming on first change hen rid Harlow of thir number 3 for only 6 but at the other end Webb was scoring freely and quickly. A huge partnership between Webb and Ramsey left Park struggling after a good start.Webb made 50 in good time and then kicked on even more from then. Good bowling in the middle of the innings from Turner and Ryder tightened the bowling up but runs came extremely for the Harlow pair. A liitle while later Ramsey went to a well played 50 but some good death bowling brought Ekhlas the wicket of Ramsey and off the last ball Stopp.
The innings went to the great prformance form the Harlow opening batter Webb who finsihed on 114 not out and thoroughly deserved, also helping his side to a good total of 226 for 5. Young Josh Turner (1-22 off 8) and Shafi Ekhlas (3-45) were the pick of the Park bowlers.

Hewitt and Ryder came out to open the batting for Park but soon found themselves 2-1 when Ryder departed for 0. That brought skipper Brett to the crease. The pair put on a decent partnership before Hewitt snicked behind off Heskett. Wain then lasted a decent amount of time before leaving for just 12. Brett at the other end was playing some nice shots and trying to play through some good Harlow bowling. Creevy was out later for 6 which brought Turner to the crease. Brett went to a very assured and confident 50 before getting bowled for 58. After a couple more cheap wickets, Park finshed their 40 overs on 148-7, with Turner playing well on 16no.

An improvement for Park but face atough game aginst Woodford Wells in their next Matchplay game.
