Match report Park snatched defeat from the jaws of victory at Harrow lodge Park saturday. On a pretty good pitch and fast outfield the Park batsmen got themselves in... then got themselves out again. The innings closed 184, well short of the usual 52 overs which was dissapointing and ultimately proved vital as an extra 50 runs would have proved the difference in terms of a win. Hornchurch started slowly having to deal with a tight opening spell from Afridi and Abeysinghege. Afridi was unlucky not to have returned better figures than 3-54. Wickets started to fall at regular intervals and Park were on top and pushing for the win. Unfortunately a series of dropped catches meant that Hornchurch survived to take the game to the final over, although Park should have wrapped the game up long before. They got across the line off the last ball.
