Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club Saturday 3rd XI v BRENTWOOD on Sat 04 Jun 2005 at 1.30pm
Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club Won 50 runs

Match report Having lost the toss, GP&R were put in and lost the early wicket of Bray. Ron Montgomery continued his run of form with a third consecutive fifty, finding good support from skipper Burch, with a rapid 29, and Tom Mongomery, 32. New recruit Lee Carter hit an interesting and important 57 with some fluent strokes and several tennis shots, enabling Park to post 238 after being bowled out in the 51st over with the tail not wagging.
Park opened the bowling with veteran Paul Winmill and Brentwood were soon in trouble at 14 for 3 after some fine catching at gulley by Dave Cobill. Brentwood continued to struggle until Donkin hit some much needed runs but he fell to Mark D'Cruz following a tactical switch by the skipper. After Winmill claimed six victims Brentwood's last two wickets provided stubborn resistance until Matt Tarr come on and took two wickets in two balls to bowl the opposition out for 188 with just two overs left - bring on the hat-trick ball next weekend!
