Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club Saturday 3rd XI v WANSTEAD on Sat 21 May 2005 at 1.30pm
Match was Abandoned

Match report A downpour midway through the Wanstead innings ruined what was turning out to be an intriguing encounter and the match was abandoned. Wanstead really hit the blocks and in no time had 50 on the board as the bowlers struggled with the windy conditions. A truly outstanding catch by Tom Kershaw off Anil Patel was quickly followed by Wanger bowling the number three bat. Thereafter, while Bothma pulled and cut anything short, the new batsman were baffled by an excellent spell from Paul Winmill who consistently beat the edge. The score mounted to 120 but in quick succession Paul bowled the dangerous Graham Webb and Dave Cobill bowled Bothma when he was well set. With two new batsmen in the match was poised but down came the rain!

Next week it is woodford Wells who are early leaders of the division.
