Match report Having won the toss Park asked Wanstead to bat. Wanstead started brightly and soon had runs on the board with a fast outfield and a good wicket to bat on.Patel went first lbw to Waheed Khan for 16. Russ Collard trapped Akram lbw for 30. A.Patel and AR Akram added 133 for the 3rd wicket never looking in trouble and being totally dominating.Andy Berry, Phil Goldstone and Russ Collard all tried hard to stem the ruuns and gradually got the rate down.Akram was removed bowled first ball after lunch with a deserved wicket for Phil Goldstone who also claimed Arif Saeed.John Chambers came in and milked the bowling never looking in trouble for a fine 61 not out. Russ Collard removed both Mohameed and Afirdi, Richardson was run out for 14 and Wanstead closed on 281-8.
Park lost the wicket of Chris Collier second ball caught at slip of Saeed.Chris Swainland 59 batted superbly and was the main stay of the innings with fantastic support from Jack Kliber who made a fine 33. Alan Croft tried hard to stave off defeat before being bowled for 17 by Saeed, Phil Goldstone was out next ball trapped lbw and Waheed Khan was caught for 1 to wrap up the game for Wanstead in a deserved win by 110 runs
