Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club News story

Success for U9’s at Epping’s 150th anniversary Kwik Cricket festival.

12 Jul 2015

Gidea Park and Romford Cricket Club U9’s enjoyed a successful day at Epping’s Kwik Cricket festival arranged to celebrate the club's 150th anniversary.

GPRCC fielded two sides that played against teams from South Loughton, Epping, Harold Wood and Saffron Waldron.   Both our teams played extremely well with the format allowing everyone to put their training in to practice.  GPRCC ‘A’ (Dylan Ueckermann, Harriet Seager, Jai Kalia, Thomas Oldland, Yasin and Zaraar Kunwaar) put in great performances to beat Harold Wood and Epping and draw with South Loughton.  GPRCC ‘B’ (Daniel Quilter, Dominic Wilson, Tom Young, James Radden, Matthew Hubbuck and Rahul Mukesh) lost their first game to South Loughton, but won the rest of their games to win the tournament overall, with Saffron Waldron in second.

A great day for GPRCC U9s with great cricket played by everyone.  A special thanks to Barry Seager for organising and help on the day and to all our parents for their support.
