ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2013

To be held at  the Pavilion, Gallows Corner Sports Ground on Sunday 24^th November 2013 at 2pm

 

AGENDA

 

1. Apologies for absence.
2. Minutes of the 2012 AGM held on 2^nd December 2012 and any matters arising.
3. Chairman’s report.
4. To note reports from the officers of the club and the team captains – Youth, 1^st XI, 2^nd XI, 3^rd XI, 4^th XI, 5^th XI.
5. To receive and adopt the Income and Expenditure Account for the year to 30^th September 2013.
6. To elect an honorary auditor.
7. To adopt the following amendments to the club Constitution:

a.         Explanation:

The membership categories in the constitution omit the categories of Life Member and Vice President, and these need adding.

Proposal:

i.          To amend Clause 4 of the Constitution by the addition of the words “Life Member/Vice President”

ii.         To insert under the definition of voting members “Life Member/Vice President”.

b.         Explanation:

The number of the club officers is too small and needs expanding to cover a further number of volunteers so that the club can run more efficiently and effectively.

 

Proposal:

To amend Clause 5 of the constitution as follows:

i.          Delete the words Communications Manager and Cricket Manager.

ii.         Insert the words:

Fixtures Secretary

Membership Secretary

Social Secretary

House and Grounds Manager

Webmaster

Club Captain

 

8. To elect the Executive and Honorary Officers of the club:
   • President
   • Vice Presidents
   • Chairman
   • Vice Chairman
   • Secretary
   • Treasurer
   • Club Welfare Officer
   • Youth and Development Officer

·       Fixtures Secretary

·       Membership Secretary

·       Social Secretary

·       House and Grounds Manager

·       Webmaster

·       Club Captain

 

9. To elect team captains and vice captains:
   • Saturday 1^st XI
   • Saturday 2^nd XI
   • Saturday 3^rd XI
   • Saturday 4^th XI
   • Saturday 5^th XI
   • Sunday U21 Academy XI
   • Sunday 3^rd XI

 

10. To note club awards for the 2013 season:

 

• Gidea Park and Romford Batting Trophy
• Fletcher Cup for Bowling
• Romford CC Fielding Trophy
• Peters Cup for the most outstanding performance
• Andy Evans Trophy for the best bowling performance
• President’s Cup for Player of the Year
• Chairman’s Cup for the most improved young player
• Brazier Cup for Club Services
• John Collins Cup for the colt of the year

 
11. Any other business notified in writing prior to the meeting.
