To All Senior Playing Members

The 2012 season is upon us and the first friendly matches are on 21st and 22nd April, with games for all teams from 28th and 29th April.

To facilitate the selection process we need all players to enter their availability by logging into the club website within the Availability section. Your availability should be entered as far in advance as possible but we would like your availability details for at least the next 5 weeks. If you have any problems logging into the club website please contact Chris Webber on 07827 944198 or chris.webber@gbtpa.com , or Andy Jenner 07831 100528 or ajenner18@yahoo.co.uk .

OUTDOOR NETS

Outdoor nets are held every Wednesdays from 6:00pm onwards. We want to encourage more members to attend the nets this year as this directly impacts our performance on the field and Chris collier will be organising thngs for the 1st XI. Without regular practice we will not achieve the results we all want. So please make every effort to attend. As we do not have a game this Sunday, there will be outdoor nets at the club from 1pm onwards.

MEMBERSHIP

The club committee has had a close look at subscriptions and fee levels and are pleased to confirm that the rates areun changed from 2011. As a reminder these are listed below: -

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEES

Full Senior Membership £150

Over 16’s In Full Time Education £80

Non-Playing Members £30

Note:

All members in the Senior and Over 16's in full time education will receive a £10 discount on their respective fees if payment is received on or before the 31st May (making this £140 or £80). This discount also applies to all members wishing to pay by direct debit who submit their forms by 21st April 2012.

If payment is made after 31st May, then an additional £10 surcharge will be added to the senior membership fees, raising the cost of membership to £160 and £100 respectively. We have a lot of expenses at the start of the season and it means that it helps enormously if membership is paid on time to enable the club to meet its costs at the start of the year.

MATCH FEES - Senior Matches

Full Senior Membership £10

Over 16’s In Full Time Education £7

Under 16’s £5

Note:

Any Senior member, including those in full time education, playing both days over a weekend will only pay £5 on the Sunday.

VOLUNTEERS

DO YOU WANT TO HELP YOUR CLUB....BE INVOLVED...AND GET TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF SATISFACTION ? BECOME A VOLUNTEER....

The Club work load continues to grow each year and we urgently need more volunteers to help us in running the club smoothly. Many hands make light work! Volunteering is great way to help and keep costs down and in turn keep membership and fees down. Volunteers are life blood of the club and without them we could not exist as a club.

If you are a Member, Colt Parent or Friends of Gidea Park, please consider volunteering even if it is one or two hours a week. It is an excellent point to have on your resume. You can help in number of ways, whether it is from helping to maintain club website, helping on Friday nights with the colts, or helping to raise funding. Some of the urgent roles required for the upcoming season are listed below: -

  • Volunteer to help with Teas for Adult matches on Saturdays and Sundays, and Colt Matches (Budget will be Provided)
  • Volunteers for asisting on Friday Night colts training 9on or off the field) or Sunday Colts Matches
  • Friday Night Coaches (Up to £100 Adult membership refunded)

If you or someone that you know would be interested in any of the above roles or would like to help in any other volunteer capacity, please contact any member of the main Cricket committee or the Colts Sub-committee. Alternatively, please call Brijesh on 07904525165 or Andy Jenner 07831 100528 for further details. Also look at the Volunteers section on the side menu on the left of the website.
