Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club

An excellent week for the club with the 1sts, 2nds and 3rds all winning and the 4ths being one wicket away from a win! The 1sts went to Hadleigh and in seamer friendly conditions bowled the home side out cheaply and won by 6 wickets. At gallows corner the 2nds were put in and grafted their way to  total on a bowler friendly pitch and then won handsomely. the 3rdfs played table topping Shenfield at Gallows and bowled them out for 80 and won by 8 wickets, an excellent perfomance, whilst the 4ths at woodford Green had a close draw with the opposition three runs away from winning but 9 wickets down. To cap things the U16 Matchplay XI won well against the odds at home to Leyton County; after being bolwed out for 95 they bolwed the visitors out for 85 after they had been 80 for 5 with a five overs left. Well done to all teams and players!
