Week 2 of league season

The second week of the league programme saw the 1sts go down to Fives and Heronians by 22 runs in a close game, Azim Razzaq and Chris Collier's good form with the bat not withstanding. The 2nds had a high scoring draw at Loughton with 50s for Chris McKie and Ricjhard Wall, and the 3rds squeezed home by one wicket at West Essex on a poor pitch. For the 4ths  at home to Basildon 3rds Ammar Zahid scored his maiden century for the club in a big opening stand with Sam Hewitt, and Michael Ryder claimed his first fifer for the side with 6 for 35, the visitors hanging on nine down and well short. The 5ths bowled out Hornchurch for 76, Connor Donnelly taking 5 for 16, and won by 8 wickets.
