Our T20 side travelled to Stanford-Le-Hope Cricket Club last Sunday for their opening 20-over-a-side match of the season.
Given the players didn't have much of a warm-up on rainy Saturday, it was of interest to see how they would perform in this rapid format and they didn't disappoint.
Batting first, Park racked up a significant total of 155 for 7 with notable contributions coming from Jamal Francis (51), George Seager (34) and Adi Kumar (21).
In reply and chasing a decent total, the home side never looked like being on target at any stage and with wickets shared by Jack Roberts, Jason O'Byrne, Frankie Hazle and the afore-mentioned Kumar, they were skittled out for a measly 55 in half the overs available.
A terrific performance by the travelling team and it will be fascinating to see if they can confirm the form back at home on Sunday 2nd August at 2pm - come along and support the lads!
