Winter Nets

01 Feb 2019

Good Morning All,

It’s that time of year again to dig the cricket bag out of the garage and start preparing for another season at the Gallows!

Following your feedback by survey and by online vote - winter nets have now been arranged and the details are as follows;

Day:                                       Sundays

Commencing:                    Sunday 10th February 2019

Time:                                     2pm – 3pm

Venue:                                 The Campion School, Wingletye Lane, Hornchurch, RM11 3BX

We have opted this year to net at Campion with it being 5 minutes from the home ground, and therefore being central to our membership base whilst also accommodating potential new members who have expressed interest in training with us locally.

We will have 4 nets available to our discretion; therefore an hour will be plenty of time for an intense session where all attending will be given a sufficient bat and bowl. Nevertheless, please look to arrive 10 minutes early to enable a quick set up of the hall so we get as much out of the hour as possible.

As stated above, we will be commencing on Sunday 10th February 2019, and running sessions through to Sunday 14th April 2019. This in total gives us 10 sessions before hopefully being able to move training to the home ground and also before the start of friendlies.

Regarding payment; the ‘pay as you go’ cost will be £5.00 per session. However, should you forsee yourself attending all 10 sessions, then you can pay £40.00 in advance either in full, or by 2 x £20.00 installments across February/March – which hopefully you can all do the maths, gives you 2 free sessions in April! If this is of interest to you please contact Tim Phillips for payment details.

Please make every effort to arrange payment promptly or remember your £5.00 on the day to make everyone’s life easier and enable us all to concentrate on the cricket!

All 4 teams will have big targets this year; whether its battling for promotion or continuing our recent success - either way it’s important we hit the ground running come the first league games in May, and that comes from hard work put in and momentum generated from a strong pre-season!

Any queries please ask, if not, look forward to seeing you the 10th of February!

Kind regards,
