Friday 21st April 2017 – 7pm for a 7.30pm sit down
2017 Stag Supper
With Guest Speaker Lloyd Scott (GPRCC) and Lance Thomas
(GPRCC)
Lloyd is a former professional goalkeeper, fire-fighter and probably
the best known charity fund-raiser in the UK. After overcoming leukaemia, he
completed the 2002 London Marathon in a deep-sea diving suit, undertook the
world’s first underwater marathon in Loch Ness and cycled a Penny Farthing
across Australia. Combining enthusiasm with an engaging speaking style; from
the trauma of illness, to the determination and amazing experiences in striving
for success, Lloyd will provide an amusing, entertaining and inspirational
after dinner presentation.
Lance Thomas will give a short tribute to our former
Chairman Andrew Jenner who sadly passed away recently. Lance has been involved
with the Club for over 30 years and has been asked by the Committee to pay
tribute to our former Chairman.
