Match report GPRCC again lost a wicket in the first over with Iftekhar Muntakim going for a golden duck. They continued to lose wickets at regular intervals with only Pete Collier sticking around before eventually falling for 47. With the pitch turning square, Brentwood's PJ Jacques ripped through the lower order taking 6 wickets and had it not been for quick fire 28 off 22 from Shaker Ullah Wasiq at the end GPRCC would have struggled to be in the game with a score of 149 looking at least a little closer to par.

Shaker then opened the bowling and bowled a tight and tidy first spell, however after seeing the turn available GPRCC opened with spin. Unfortunately, they were unable to find the right pace and length, as the Brentwood bowlers had done, to extract the best out of the pitch. Drinks came at 20 overs with Brentwood flying along to the total required at 90 for no loss of wicket.

Things all changed in the second half with a wicket from the first ball after drinks. Krishan Kumar came into the attack and bowled a tight stump to stump line which allowed him to eventually take 5 wickets. Iftekhar came into the attack taking a caught and bowled early. He then proceeded to take two more catches in the field. In the end, one dropped catch and 3 sixes in an over meant it was a step too far for GPRCC to get back into the game and eventually in the 35th over Brentwood got to the required 150 with 8 wickets down.

It was a great fight back at the end of both innings to make a game of it but early mistakes cost them.
