Match report Gidea Park & Romford won the toss and elected to field first.
Ardleigh Green got off to a steady start with a excellent opening spell of swing bowling from Gordon and Filmalter. Filmalter accounted for both opening batsmen in quick sucession which bought Oakley and Cason to the crease. They put on an excellent stand of aggressive batting which look like enabling Ardleigh Green to put up a score of around 250. A Churchill finally made the breakthrough grabbing both wickets, Oakley for 52 and Cason for 88. The rest rest of the innings petered out a little, and Park were happy to chase 229 on a good wicket with a fast outfield.
Gidea Parks chase became rather comfortable after a magnificent opening stand of 173 by Collier and Baker. Collier continued his excellent early season form, but just failed to make it three hundreds on the trott, bowled by Taylor for 71. Baker and Patel completed the chase in 42 overs with Baker remaining 111 not out.
