Match report Walthamstow batted first and were faced by debutant fast bowlers Saleem and Waheed who both bowled well and were rewarded with a wicket apeice. Waheed was particlary good bowling 4 maidens and going for just 20 runs off his nine overs. Walthamstow's innings was based on some fine middle order batting from Hawkins (52) and Hafeez (78) before they both felt to Ananda Krishnan who finished with 3 wickets.

GPRs run chase started well with Mel Hussain and Richard Whatling putting on 45 runs for the first wicket. There were also good contributions from Greg Chruchill and James Redwood but the innings never really got the acceleration required until Addie Saleem hit 42 off just 19 balls. But it was not enough as GPRs innnings closed 52 runs behind the Walthamstow total.
