Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club Saturday 2nd XI v Loughton on Sat 29 Jun 2002 at 1.30
Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club Lost 6 wickets

Match report After three wins in a row this was a very disappointing loss for the 2nd XI. Although several key players were missing Gidea Park and Romford should have scored more runs after being put by loughton. All the top order batsman got started but could not carry on and gave their wickets away with some poor shots and a silly run out. Ian ADAMS at No 6 was the pick of the batting with a solid and sensible 56. Declaring after 52 overs it was always going to be a struggle to defend 202 with several key bowlers missing. Louhton got of to a flyer with the first wickets putting on 115. Mark WINDEBANK in his first game for the 2nd XI bowled very well and was rewarded with 3 for 30 of 12.3 overs. However, even after Mark's effort Loughton eased home to win by 6 wickets with several overs to spare.
