Match report We were out classed in this fixture, in a match which showed the quality of the Middlesex league. Finchley fielded 5 players with first class experience and had a lot of quality in their side. Park did well to restrict them to 269 and showed great commitmetn and spirit in the face of an awesome batting line-up the likes of which we dont see every week. Batting we got off to a bad start losing the dangerous Evans early doors, good bowling meant only Shazhad contributed a decent score, howeve Kingston 11 and Wall 23 n.o added some respectability. Afterwards Finchley had a barbeque and was a good family atmosphere, we stayed and socialised with the opposition, who were good blokes and fine cricketers who I can only aspire to be like. Funniest moment of the day was when Miller clean bowled fell over, lost his bearings and was escorted from the pitch by 2 Finchley fielders, I fell of my chair with laughter at this point.
