Match report Gidea Park batted first in this 40 over contest. A good partnership between Davies (52) and McKie (48) laid the foundations and some late big hitting from "hangover Hughes" (44 n.o) led to a respectable total of 197-7. Hertford had a strong batting line-up with many first and second team players. Evans 3-25 bowled with control, Mckie 3-26 turned the bowl a lot on a dusty end of season turning Gallows pitch wicket. Hertford eventually scraped through with 7 balls remaining and 2 wickets, a good game for an end of season clash.

It has been good to see the vast improvement in many of the younger players in the Sunday side this season and in this match many stepped up and took responsibilty which is encouraging for the future.
