on a perfect batting strip Park amassed 288 for 7 in 48.5 overs thanks to some blistering stoke play from Waqash who shared in a 113 run second wicket partnership with James Redwood. Liam was run out in the second over of the day but after this set back batsmen dominated the Chelmsford attack. Waqas hit 16 4's in a lightning innings and after his departure Redders went on to complete an excellent 72. The middle order all contributed afterwards with Spangles Hamad and Steve Brant all contributing well, Branty with 4 6's and 3 4's in a very quick 48 not out.
In reply this total was always going to be challenging. When the visitors slipped to 97 for 5, thanks to some superb swing bowling from Waheed, a rearguard action was required. This came in the form of Number 8 Giles. He struck an excellent 76 not out, driving strongly to anything in his arc. He held the innings together for Chelmsford to close on 213 for 6. Waheed finished with 4 for 73 off 17 overs and bowled well throughout.
