Match report Colchester were eventually bowled out with wickets being taken off the last 2 balls of the 52nd over, with 2 catches by Phil Goldstone the first of which was a brilliant running effort on the long on boundary. Earlier Laurie Austin had hit a fine 89 to form the basis of the visitors innings of 243 all out.
In reply an opening stand of 75 between Anand and Liam set up the possibility of an exciting run chase but we were always going to be under pressure to reach 244 when 3 wickets fell in quick succession .Liam scored another half century but with wickets continuing to fall at regular intervals to the slow bowling of Savill and Dias it was left to the Windebank brothers to play out the last few overs for yet another frustrating draw.
