Match report Hainault lost the toss and GPR asked them to bat. From the start it was noticable that this wicket was keeping low but the two early wickets where both catches. At 36 for 2 from 15 overs, it was a good start restricting the opposition, but for the next 22 overs, no changes would come to hand as Hainault put on 114 runs. At 150 for 2 Hainault where looking good for 200 and setting a formidable target on this wicket, but the introduction of 13 year old Ahmed Wain, leg spinner, changed the complexion of the game, an ordinary first over which went for 8 was followed by 4 wickets in his next 3 overs and a wicket from Elliott Skinner reduced Hainault to 166 for 7. Aaron hughes got 1 wicket and Ahmed wrapped up the innings with 2 more for 183 All Out. The encouraging thing about this fielding performance was that the 6 under 17's all kept going even when it appeared to be against us and all contributed to dismissing Hainault.

Gidea Parks Innings was reduced to 41 for 3 after 8 overs. Simon Trowse and Tony Millar then put on 68 for the 4th wicket. Ian Greenwood, Anil Patel and Aaron Hughes all stayed at the crease and scored valuable runs before Colin Jones, who had stepped in at late notice to keep wicket, hit the winning runs with 6 overs of the last 20 remaining.
