Match report A disapointing start to the season for a depleted Gidea Park team, whose rustiness was evident for all to see; the knock on effect of the abandoned friendly fixtures was that the team was clearly undercooked.
The first three wickets fell cheaply before Sukhi steadied the ship with a crisp 30 and was assisted later by a watchful 27 from Chris Webber. After him though there was a collapse which left Greenwood and Winmill with quite a bit to do to make the score respectable, which they did with a partnership of 52 which earned four points on the way.
Realistically it was never likely to be enough, especially with the Shenfield batting line up in good form, and Park's bowling as rusty as the batting had been earlier..
