WALTHAMSTOW v Gidea Park & Romford CC Saturday 2nd X1 on Sat 24 May 2008 at 1PM
Gidea Park & Romford CC Won by 122 runs
Another excellent win for Gidea Park & Romford. Walthamstow won the toss and asked Gidea PArk to bat first. Despite the early loss of Collier, Luke Baker and Matt Tarr built a solid foundation for the innings with a partnership of 67. With the loss of baker for 53, James Patient came to the wicket and continued the good work adding a further 107 with Tarr for the 3rd wicket. Both were out towards the end of the innings, Tarr for an excellent 61, but Parkl were in position to allow the middle order to bat freely and score heavily in the last few overs of the innings. Park declared on a very challenging 237 for 7.
The Walthamstow innings started steadily with runs and wickets hard to come by. The introduction of Andy Churchill and Chand Chouhan saw a flurry of quick wickets and Walthamstow being dismissed for just 115. Chouhan finishing with figures of 5 for 23.
