Match report It was the first clear day in 3 weeks for the Sunday 2's. With a reasonable side out, they took on Blackheath at the Gallows.

Blackheath batted first and looked likely to amass a large score until the impressive Brooks was trapped LBW by John Roberts who fully deserved the key wicket with a controlled spell in which he rarely bowled a ball off-line. Suki Juttla also bowled a good spell to keep the pressure on the Blackheath batsmen and this told when Park brought the spinners on, with Andy Goldsmith getting a couple of quick wickets (two cracking catches from Ashley Capp) as the opposition chased a score.

In reply, GP&R got off to a good start, keeping well up with the run-rate via a good opening partnership from Capp and Patel. Patel went on to get a good 118 which formed the basis of a strong run chase. Peter Collier got a sound 50 with some well judged 3's taken from the slow outfield. The game finished with Park reaching their target with an over or so to spare, captain Goldsmith punching the Blackheath opener through mid-on.
