Match report Gidea Park travelled to Belhus looking to bounce back from a disappointing
defeat the previous week. Returning skipper Collier won the toss and elected to
field on what looked and proved to be a fantastic wicket.

Park started strongly with Filmalter picking up 3 early wickets whilst Hewitt
bowled with pace and control at the other end. First change Thakkar continued
the good work as Belhus batsmen Joe Joyce launch a counter attack. Matt Tarr,
bowling his first over of the season made an instant impact. An over which
lasted 13 balls, conceded 18 runs and 2 big wickets. Belhus at 79-5 looked in
trouble. Skipper Dan Joyce (69no) dug in with the remaining Belhus batsmen
guiding the home side to 228-8 from 50ov. Filmalter pick of the bowlers with
4-35 from his 10. Youngster Pegram also impressing with 1-52 from 9 bowling 4
overs at the death when the charge was on.

Parks response started positively with Collier and Thakkar scoring briskly from
the off. An opening partnership of 90 in 14overs ensured Park were in prime
position before Thakkar was out caught behind. Collier was joined by Tarr and
soon completed his half century before chipping to midwicket off Joyce for 53,
with the score 116-2. With overs and wickets in hand park cruised home with 10
overs to spare. Tarr completing his excellent day with a classy 59no and Collard
likewise with 40no.

Mention must be given to the hosts, a fantastic cricket wicket and great
hospitality.
