Match report GPR batted first and most players were able to cash in on a superb early season wicket. New boy Ananda Krishnan was unlucky to be out one short of a well deserved fifty. Acting skipper and last seasons Batsman of the Year Andy Churchill also looked in great form before retiring on 68. Last seasons Player of the Year Baljit Singh smashed an impressive 82 of just 54 balls. Newly returned from Austrailia, Luke Baker (18) and wicketkeeper James Redwood (35) saw Park to an impressive 267-4 off 45 overs.

GPR bowled with great accuracy and penetration and shared the wickets out amongst the seven bowlers used. The opening bowlers bowled with great pace and took a wicket each. Seamer Baljit Singh took 3 wickets and spinners Mel Hussain and Alan Croft took two apeice. Legspinner Darren Batch also weighed in with a wicket at the end of the innings.

All in all a good start to the season... well done boys
