Well what can I say, we played this game in exactly the right manner, we batted confidently, bowled well and held our catches !!!
Greg Churchill batted supremely for a quickfire 71 abily supported by Danny Cox (52), James Evans (22), Richard Rogers(20) and Chris Swainland(19). Park declared in the 39th over at 3.20pm to provide maximum bowling time at Hainault & Clayhall and push for the win that would give Park the chance of avoiding relegation.
Park started well with Captain Ian Gordon taking the wicket of his counterpart with a vicous bouncer, that did the batsmen for pace and accuracy and was taken by Chris Swainland behind the stumps. A fine spell by Andy Jenner of 5 - 38 and great support by Churchill 3-22 enabled Park to take 18 points, which unfortunately was not enough on the day as Park was relegated by 3 points.
