Harold Wood won the toss and decided to bat in this U16 Matchplay game. GPR had the best possible start when opening bowler Ryan Sammons bowled the Harld Wood opener with a seriously quick yorker with the first ball of the game. Harold Wood then put on 46 for the second wicket before Legspinner Andrew D'cruz came into the attack to skittle Harold Wood with 7 wickets for 29 bowling uphill into the wind!!! Tom Kershaw had his first bowl of the season and chipped in with two wickets including the important scalp of the Harold Wood top scorer R. Hunt.
Parks openers knocked off the runs without losing a wicket. Craig Bray looked very composed as he knotched up a distinguished fifty. His young partner Matt Tarr also looked a top player making 25 runs which included some lovely shots.
Well done boys... Matchplay campaign back on target... Must improve fielding but all in all a very good performance
