Match report Gidea Park 1st XI took to the field for the last league fixture of the season needed 5 points to guarantee division 2 cricket for the 2013 season.

On a scorcher of a day captain Collier won the toss and elected to field. Despite an inconsistent start, some poor fielding and some lusty blows Park were position well at the 40 over mark. Same late hitting and further missed chances see Horndon motor on to 251ao. Importantly for Park 4 of the 5 points needed were secured in the field meaning just 130 runs was all that was needed with the bat. Francis pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets, 2 for Filmalter and Vyas and 1 for Mckie and Hewitt.

Parks reply started positively with Hewitt & Francis registering boundary's early. Hewitt first out caught behind. Tarr (63) joined Francis before the later was caught and bowled. Tarr and Collard (48*) steered Park past the 130 required and onwards With Park eventually posting 188-3.
