Having lost the toss we were happily sent out to field by the Wickford captain. A sloppy start enabled Wickford to get off to a flyer with the first wicket falling at 40 after just 7 overs. Park significantly raised their game thereafter and with the introduction of the spinners ran through the Wickford middle order. Great spells by Vin, Mini and Russ in the middle overs and Rudi coming back to clean up the tail. 156 ao in 42.4 overs. It must be said a far better fielding display with catches being held this week.

Park's reply got off to a shaky start with the loss of Vin, Matt and Myself with the score only 27-3. Luke and Russ repaired the damage to take the score to 69 before the loss of the 4th wicket. At 88-5 Park once again looked in trouble but the 2 youngsters Chris (24) and Sam (37*) effectively guided us home on a tricky wicket in the face of some accurate bowling. Great knocks lads. Chris fell with 30 needed so it was over to Pup and Rudi to see us home! Great efforts lads.
