A fantastic result for Park enabled them to reduce the deficit from safety to 10 points.
A fine spell of bowling by Punit Satsangi who took 3 early wickets enabled Park to take the early initiative in this bottom of the table clash. Unfortunately Park were then put to the sword by B.Sindell (122 NO) and Saffron Walden declared on 252 for 6.
Park made steady progress in reply with usefull knocks by Luke Baker (81) Satsangi (33) and Jerry Trayler (27) before the middle order collapsed chasing the target set.
Park at one stage were 177 for 7 with 10 overs to go with the game looking to have slipped away however Chris Swainland (40 n.o.) and Jason Toogood (32 n.o.) both U15's Colts came to the crease and intelligently knocked off the remaining runs with an over to spare. 2 quite remarkable Innings !!!.
It was made all the more remarkable by the disappearance of Dave Osborne at 7.00pm which made the team in effect 8 down !!!
