Having lost the toss again Park were put in to bat again.The game plan was to score as quick as possible but look to have back fired as Park lost Hussain and Hyam with only 6 on the board.Andy Churchill and Scott Davis set about rebuilding and added 101 for the 3rd wicket with Davis out for 52 in the 28 over.Jan dreyer joined Winnie and the runs flowed as the wicket offered nothing for Orsett.Winnie raced to his 100 with 10 4's and with the score on 178-2 at lunch off only 40 overs Park looked set for their early declaration.Winnie was soon out after lunch for 119 and Collard joined Dreyer to watch him slay the attack.Park declaring just 9 overs after lunch with the score on 269-5 from only 49 .3 overs. dreyer finishing on 75 including 7 4's and 3 6's.
Orsett were left to score 270 in 70 overs. Dreyer made the early breakthrough removing Shaw. Sargent and overseas Pro Katz made steady progress but the loss of Sargent for a fine 43 was the enough for Katz to decide the run chase was off with some 40 overs remaining needing only 4 an over. His innings was to last for another 25 slow overs unfortunately finally out to Dreyer for a poor 87. Park toiled away and with overs to play with made steady progress in to the tail.Hussain and Churchill bowled well after the tea interval as did Sweeney before , but the with 3 wickets needed in the last over Collard got 2 time eventually ran out in a marathon afternnon. Dreyer completing afine day with top effort 3-66 in a spell lsating 13 overs after tea
