A rain reduced match saw Park bat first on a damp and blustery day. The match was reduced to 44-36 over match. Park struggled early losing Chris Swainland 3, Andy Churchill 1 and were at 14-2, Russ Collard 11 went next with the score at 53. Barry Hyam showed great patience early and with Chris Hendriks 19 added 31 before Hendrik was out lbw. Mike Allen and Barry Hyam then added 72 in quick time as the momentum swung and was stepped up and South Woodford came under intense pressure as the runs flowed freely with some intelligent aggressive batting taking the game to the opposition. Hyam was finally out bowled by Garry Niecho 10 short of what would have been a fantastic 100 given the conditions and the situation. Allen went on striking the ball cleanl;y to all parts and completed his maiden 50 before falling for 52.Jack Kliber and Rudi Filmalter both added 9 each and Park were left on 204-7 from their 44 overs.
With 38 overs to bat Park kept it tight and South Woodford were soon falling well behind the required rate. Mike Allen removed Akram bowled for an aggresive 22. Waheed Khan fought valiantly into the wind showing fine control. Ryan Sammons welcomed back into the first team bowled well taking the valuable wicket of Akhtar caught behind by Chris Swainland for 19. Andy Churchill took over from Khan into the wind and showed great skill. The runs dried up and CHurchills control and patience bought him 3 wickets to destroy South Woodfords challenge. Chris Hendiks picked a caught and bowled to leave SW 68-6. The last 11 overs were failry uneventful as a South Woodford staved off Parks challlenge for a second ssuccesive victory bowling second. A keenly contested match saw a draw with Park picking up 9 valuable points and retain top spot some 9 points ahead of nearest rivals
