Match report a tremendous raimn storm at tea forced the abandonment of this friendly after Wood had won the toss and batted in slow conditions. Their top four played well against a predominantly spin attack with the two woodings scoring 50 apiece and Ian honeysett playing some handsome drives in his 77 before aiming one too many against Dave Cobill who was returning for a second spell. For Park all the bowlers had the chance to flex their muscles in a good work out. Andy Jenner was very mean at the start and end of the innings, and there were debuts for George Kiernan (seam) and Michael Ryder (spin) who both bowled better than their figures suggest, and the same was true for Old Stagers Osborne, Cobill, and Greenwood who put in good spells which will stand in good stead with the league programme starting next week with a visit to Chelmsford 5ths.
