Match report Shockingly the skipper managed to win the toss for a change, he really didn't know what to do then. The wicket was used and looked like it might "do a bit". So he put Upminster in to see.

This proved be the case. By the end of the second over Park had a wicket. Jakk took a good catch after Jamie O'Dell had been missed twice already in the over. The opener's bowled well in tandem. In fact the Park Bowling unit bowled well all day. The openers with pace and movement, Abdul with flight and turn. Paul Winmill was the pick of the Park attack picking up 4 for 27 in his spell of tight controlled bowling.

With tea not yet at the ground Park had 35 minutes before tea to bat. Messrs Pegram and Davies set about the Upminster attack with glee. Pegram departed an over before tea with the score on 45 after only 7 overs.

From here on in Park struggled somewhat as Upminster's disciplined bowling, good field placing and positive attitude made scoring more awkward. Poor shot selection also added to Park's woe. Park chipped away at the Upminster total and eventually made it home with overs to spare, Patient managing his second half century of the season in the process.
