Match report A day dominated by the wind and Saffron Walden.
Park were never allowed to get any momentum in to their innings as Saffron bowled with supreme discipline. Having lost Barry Hyam and Andy Churchill early , Luke Baker and Russ Collard built a partnership of 44 before Collard was bowled by Smith for 24. Luke was next to folllow caught by Ecclestone off Smith for 33. Only Balbir Singh with a swashbuckling 39 and Rhett Fielke 26 were main contributions.
With only a small total to defend and a flat wicket to bowl on Park were up against a side flowing with confidence. Waheed Khan removed Ryan Sparrow caught behind by Barry Hyam for 16. Westley and Ecclestone added 88 before Westley was bowled for a well crafted 61. Ecclestone 58 no and Philips 36no finished off the job.
