Match report Asked to bat first Ardleigh Green took on the Park bowling from the start with Glassberg and Powell scoring freely with big shots on a difficult wicket. Powell though was first to go with one airel shot too many, out well caught by Luke Baker off Alistair Jones for 27.Royston Jones added 24 before agin falling to a catch well held by Greg churchill again off Jones. The removal of pace from the attack slowed up the run rate and park started to take more control. Tight bowling from Mel Hussain ,Andy Churchill and Russ Collard saw only 69 runs come off the next 27 overs with 5 wickets collected. As the pressure mounted the wickets came and Ardleigh Green finishing on a challenging 180-9 off their 45 overs. Useful contributions came from Jefferies 14 and Wyatt 19 towards the end .
Park lost Barry Hyam and Andy Churchilll early to the bowling of Clarke.Mel Hussain and Russ Collard added 50 before Hussain was run out by Collard for 17 with a direct hit. Chris Collier and Collard shared in another 50 partnership before Collier was well caught in the deep by Wyatt for a confident 26. Luke Baker came in and was adjudged LBW again off Clarke for 17 and also put together a partnership of 44. Greg Churchill and Russ Collard saw Park home with an over and 5 wickets to spare with Collard undefeated on 67.
Park are at home to Saffron Walden next weekend
