Gidea Park & Romford CC runs colts cricket sides at U9, U11, U13, U15 and U16 as well as providing coaching for younger age groups. The Club has been one of the most prominent in the county for over 20 years and produces many young cricketers who go on to play senior club cricket. In recent years, we are proud to have produced three Essex CCC players Stephen PetersBarry Hyam and Andrew Hibbert.

Coaching evenings are held at the Gallows Corner ground on Friday evenings in the summer with a number of ECB qualified coaches and assistants. Indoor coaching also takes place during the winter.

Child Protection


The protection and support of young people in cricket is of paramount importance to Gidea Park & Romford CC. The Club has adopted the ECB Child Protection Policy 'Safe Hands - Welfare of Young People in Cricket' (see below) and has been awarded ClubMark status in recognition of our policies towards child welfare and protection.
